1)     Secretary’s Report: January Minutes Approved

·         New Leader Essentials Training Wednesday Feb 27th 7:00 – 9:00 pm in Mt Prospect. Registration                    to arrive at council by Feb 22nd

               

2) Events Report

·   Feb. 16th, Ice Arena – over 70 participants, please arrive by 3:30 pm (Skating times 3:30 – 5:00 pm)

·   March 16th, Magician Pay at the Door Event – please arrive by 2:00 pm pack meeting to follow

·   April 19th Save the Date Earth Day Open House at the Educycle in Grayslake 9:00 – 12:00 pm      

·   Scouting for food – May 3rd drop off locations Troop 92 & Wauconda Food Pantry

·   May 3rd, Cub Olympics

                 

Pinewood Recap: Tom Philippsen – went smooth, track is still in good shape, just needs some tweaking.  Bruce do we want another track?  Aline has an idea were the software might be.

B&G recap:  Ken Anderson 44/60 scouts 168 people attended $162.00 in donations $62.00 came from the photographer & $100.00 came from local business. There is still some negotiating with Makray, the numbers may change

Camping Kick-off Update: Chris Godsey - Pack camping – Chain-O-Lakes reservations can be made in Feb. Kathleen Fuell they will reserve a train this year and then shuttle the scouts need 2 parents per 8 scouts. Day Camp $20 fee waived if attending the Leader Orientation.  Pay by March 14th for the early bird special and save $25.00, Regular fee if paid by April 18th and late fee if paid by June 20th

                                       

Announcements from Roundtable: * Donated craft items needed for Feb. 7th, Roundtable & Craft (Supply) swap meet.

3) Treasurer’s Report – Mentioned that we need to keep the credit card simple for the next person who takes over.  Tom is looking to switch banking over to Chase; we would receive a free safe deposit box which could hold the credit card signatures.  Also stated was that through the website we could setup payment of events. Ron asked if we could put money into CD’s which will be looked into.

5) Cub Master Report:

·         Den 7 1 Bobcat. 

·         People are lined up for Pinewood Derby for next year. 

·         Rich will accept the honor on February 18th at 7:15 pm at the Village of Hawthorn Woods, the village board will grant us a resolution for our 50th anniversary.  We are asking for leaders and scouts in uniform to attend the presentation ceremony.  Village Barn 2 Lagoon Drive in Hawthorn Woods, presentation will start at 7:30 pm

 

6) Pack Meeting FEB. 17th with FOS(Chinese New Year & 50th Anniversary) / March 16th (Abracadabra) - Webelos II Bridging * Need to know what Troop/s the boys will be bridging into

8) New Business:

·        Ron Behrens Troop 92 is hosting an All You Can Eat Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner for $5.00/person, pre-pay for your tickets by Feb 25 & save $1.00.  Show up in uniform March 1st at 4:30 pm in Krueger Hall.

·        Please attend the June 22nd planning meeting

 

9) Den Reports / Roundtable Leader Discussion

Tigers        

Wolves

·         Den 9 – will be having a den meeting at Dinner by Design to complete our cooking requirement.  Have completed 8 requirements in the Wolf book, plan on finishing up the last four by March.  All den members have paid to recharter.

Bears

·         Den 10 – they are on Round 2 at Clay Monet & things are going well.

Webelos I & II

·         Den 4 – Aqua knot at YMCA

·         Den 5 – went to Dinner by Design

·         Den 2 – visited Troops: 92, 309 & 964.  5/5 boys are moving onto Boy Scouts, they are working on their arrow of light and arrows.
